Registrar’s Communiqué: Extension of Registration and Related Deadlines for the 2025 Academic Year

Following requests and motivated appeals from the SRC Executive (SRCE), University Management has proposed adjustments to key registration deadlines for the start of the 2025 academic year. These extensions aim to accommodate specific student categories.

1. Final date for first semester academic registration:

Academic registration will remain open until 16h00 on Friday, 21 February 2025, but only for the following categories of students:

  • Students re-admitted by the Academic Exclusions Appeals Committee (AEACOM).
  • Students required to re-register following the Senate Concessionary Special Examinations (SCSEs).
  • Students registering for programmes that still have places available.

2. Final date for payment of the minimum fee required for registration:

The final date for making the minimum payment required for registration is 16h00 on Friday, 14 February 2025.

In addition, Acknowledgement of Debt (AoD) documentation will only be accepted from students in the categories listed above. These documents must be submitted by 16h00 on Friday, 14 February 2025, to allow the Student Fees Office the required five (5) working days to process and consider financial clearance.

3. Final date for submitting requests for curriculum changes , and extended DPS, for those modules that had DPs in 2024:

The deadline for:

  • Submitting curriculum changes
  • Requests for extended DPs (for modules that had DPs in 2024)

has been extended to 16h00 on Friday, 21 February 2025.

The University remains committed to supporting students in their academic journey, and encourages those affected, to make the necessary arrangements within these extended timelines.
