Release of the Matric Results

When matric results are released on 23 February 2021 (as currently scheduled) they are also sent directly to the University. There is no need for you to send your matric results to us or to visit any of our campuses to submit a late application, or to enquire about the status of your application. Within 24 hours of the release of the matric results, UKZN will commence making firm offers (via sms and an emailed letter) to matriculants who have been successful and have applied to UKZN through the Central Applications Office (CAO) for South African applicants, and the UKZN Applications Offices for International undergraduate applicants.

Please make sure your contact details (cell number and email address) are up to date. If your contact details have changed, please urgently update them via the CAO (SA Applicants). Use the following email address: changeofcontactcao@cao.ac.za. Put your CAO reference number in the subject line and ensure that you clearly state what changes in contact details are required in the body of your email.

The University has received in excess of 110 000 applications for just over 10 000 first entry places and the process of making offers may take up to three (3) weeks. If you do not receive an offer immediately, please be patient.

All applicants will be able to check the status of their UKZN application via a link on the UKZN website, after the release of results.
